For so long, my happy place was at the edge of my seat in Bryant-Denny Stadium, surrounded by 100,000 screaming fans and the friends I made when I first arrived at the University of Alabama four decades ago as a freshman. Forged in the furnace of joy and disappointment, we are all part of the Crimson Tide.
