After an approval from the NBA’s Board of Governors, a massive change is coming to the NBA draft lottery format.
Beginning next season, the NBA’s draft lottery will expand from 14-to-16 teams. This will now include the two teams seeded No. 8 in the Eastern and Western Conference and include a “3-2-1″ feature that represents how many ping pong balls the final three teams remaining in the lottery will receiver for the final round.
