New $43M tool to fight wildfires in California costs $5M in tariffs despite being US design

Los Angeles is spending an estimated $43 million on a new firefighting helicopter, and more than $5.1 million of that will go toward tariffs because the aircraft, despite being designed in the U.S., is manufactured in Poland.
