New school hours are coming to these Shelby County schools: Here’s why

Oak Mountain High School is changing its operating hours for the 2026-27 school year to help with the traffic flow on Caldwell Mill Road and Alabama Highway 119.

The high school will now open its doors at 7:25 a.m. instead of 7 a.m.
