Nigeria’s Patoranking ft Ruger “Shake That” + EU Festival Dates

14 hours ago 1

Nigerian global music star Patoranking returns with his electrifying new single and video “Shake That” featuring fellow Afrobeats sensation Ruger, via  Amari Musiq/The Orchard.

Rooted in the infectious spirit of galala — the Lagos-born reggae-influenced music and dance movement that dominated the streets in the ’’90s — “Shake That” finds Patoranking continuing to evolve the sound with a bold, contemporary edge built for a global audience. Fueled by pulsating drums, infectious melodies, and undeniable energy, the Daniel Williams Shekwoyemi (Yung Willis) and David Williams Omagbemi (Dwillsharmony) produced record is a sizzling, summer-ready anthem designed to move dance floors worldwide.

The official video, directed by Dammy Twitch, captures the raw vibrancy and nonstop action of Lagos, with bodies shaking, bumpas moving, and energy spilling from living rooms to lobbies across the city. Vibrant, unapologetic, and magnetic, the visual perfectly mirrors the song’s explosive spirit.

As anticipation builds towards an album expected next year, Patoranking continues a strong run of standout releases including “No Jonze”, “African Soldier” feat. Buju Banton,” and now “Shake That” featuring Ruger — poised to become another major anthem in his ever-expanding catalog.

With more than 750 million YouTube views and 460 million Spotify streams overall, Patoranking has solidified himself as one of Africa’s most influential global stars. Known for seamlessly blending Afrobeats, dancehall, and reggae, the Lagos-born artist remains in a lane entirely his own. His acclaimed studio albums include God Over Everything (2016), Wilmer (2019), Three (2020), and World Best (2023).

This summer, Patoranking will embark on the festival circuit across Europe, including:
