No one is talking about this data center downside: op-ed

For a while, alarm about the invasion of data centers seemed to be one of few things Alabama Republicans and Democrats agreed on. The pollution, water and electricity consumption, noise, and the sheer, ugly sprawl are so obvious, people recognize that they don’t want a data center anywhere near their homes, regardless of their politics.
