Pea-sized hail forecast with thunderstorms in Pickens and Greene counties Wednesday

A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 6 a.m. for strong thunderstorms until 6:45 a.m. for Pickens and Greene counties.

Wind gusts of up to 40 mph and pea-sized hail (0.25 inches) are predicted.
