Permanent daylight saving time: Will Congress vote before we change the clocks?

The Sunshine Protection Act would clear the way for permanent daylight saving time across the U.S., putting a stop to the twice-yearly tradition of moving clocks back and forth each spring and fall.

Barring lightning fast – and highly unlikely – Congressional action, daylight saving time will end and we will “fall back” an hour on Nov. 1.
