Potential data breach possibly affected as many as 400,000 Alabama Power customers

Alabama Power has notified some of its customers of a cybersecurity issue that may have compromised some data for as many as 400,000 of its customers.

According to an email sent to customers, “unauthorized activity on our online customer portal” involving an outside party has been detected.
