Prominent Mobile gay bar abruptly shuts down at height of Pride Month

B-Bob's, a multi-level Conti Street bar, has been a landmark on Mobile's LGBTQ+ scene for more than 20 years. In early 2026 it changed hands, with interior designer Matthew Bees taking over as owner.

A prominent downtown Mobile gay bar that had announced a full slate of Pride Month activities will instead be closed this weekend, citing issues with its liquor license.
