A special event is happening at the Las Vegas Raiders’ Henderson Nevada headquarters next week and it a perfect location and host.

The inaugural Hispanic Football Hall of Fame will held its induction ceremony and honor Pro and college players of the year. The event will be held on May 5, which, of course, is Cinco De Mayo.

The Raiders are the perfect host for this event. The franchise has a rich Hispanic history with its players, coaches and fan base.

Of course, there will be a strong Raiders’ presence during the ceremony as coach Tom Flores, linebacker Ted Hendricks and quarterback Jim Plunkett will all be honored.

Quarterback Fernando Mendoza, who is fully expected to be the No.1 overall draft pick by the Raiders will be honored as well for being the college player of the year.

What a cool evening that will be.
