On Saturday at 10:01 p.m. a red flag warning was issued by the National Weather Service valid for Sunday between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. for Marion, Walker, Blount, Etowah, Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Clay and Randolph counties.
Winds are expected to be south 10 to 15 mph and relative humidity as low as 23%.
