Just like the temperature, rent in Alabama is on the rise.
In cities across the state, Alabamians pay an average of about $1,500 in rent in 2026, according to data from real estate site Zillow. That’s nearly twice as much as residents here paid in 2015. Back then average rent in cities was about $800 per month.
