Restaurant closing amid financial struggles: ‘You can put yourself in a bad situation’

Pop’s Smorgasbord, a family-owned restaurant in the Cherokee County town of Centre, will be closing its doors for good this Sunday.

Chef Brad Hunter, co-owner of the business with his wife Brosha, announced the upcoming closure in a Facebook video post Thursday.
