Alabama lawmakers have shared their plans to redraw congressional districts, which Republicans hope will shift the balance of power in Congress and in the state.
The changes could come quickly. Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall has asked a federal court to “quickly” decide whether the state can change its maps. Alabama is currently under a federal court order to keep things the same until at least 2030.
