A federal judge dismissed three Decatur police officers and the City of Decatur from a lawsuit regarding the 2023 death of Steve Perkins.
Perkins, 39, was shot and killed by Decatur police officers in his front yard during the early hours of Sept. 29, 2023, during a repossession. Former Decatur officer Mac Marquette is charged with the murder of Perkins.
