The Academy of Country Music (ACM), Prime Video, and Dick Clark Productions (DCP) have officially announced a monumental host for its 61st Annual Awards: legendary global music superstar Shania Twain. The iconic, top-selling female country-pop artist of all time will take the stage for her first turn as host, blending her boundary-pushing style with one of Country Music’s most important nights.
A Genre-Bending Icon Takes the Helm

Shania Twain, a three-time ACM Award winner and five-time GRAMMY winner, has long been credited with redefining country music and bringing it to an international stage. Having sold over 100 million albums worldwide, her influence is undeniable.
Twain expressed her excitement, noting that Las Vegas “feels like home” and stating, “It’s such an honor to be part of this incredible night celebrating Country Music’s biggest stars, especially with so many talented women leading nominations this year“.
ACM CEO Damon Whiteside praised the selection, calling Twain the “perfect icon” to follow previous hosts like Dolly, Garth, and Reba, highlighting her history on the ACM stage, including a win for the coveted ACM Entertainer of the Year trophy.
Where and When to Stream the Biggest Night in Country
The 61st ACM Awards will make a triumphant return to Las Vegas, broadcasting live from the world-renowned MGM Grand Garden Arena.
The ceremony will stream live exclusively for a global audience across over 240 countries and territories on Prime Video on Sunday, May 17, 2026. Fans can tune in at 8 pm ET / 7 pm CT / 5 pm PT.
