Sk8star is closing out the most prolific year of his career with the same intensity that defined his rise. After a whirlwind season that saw him debut his project Designer Junkie, drop the The Beautiful Rebellion EP, and secure a spot on the road for the Bad* Influence Tour, the Macon-raised, Atlanta-based artist is showing no signs of slowing down. His latest single, “Peter Pusher,” arrives as a testament to his current run, capturing the restless energy of an artist who is constantly moving between cities and stages.
On this record, Sk8star leans into his signature, versatile flow, navigating a blown-out, high-energy production courtesy of Project4play. The track serves as a sonic diary of his recent travels, with the rapper detailing the grind of life between flights and the rapid-fire pace of his schedule. His ability to pivot between cadences—a skill that has earned him critical acclaim and comparisons to some of the most distinct voices in modern rap—is on full display here, grounding the chaotic energy of the beat with sharp, confident lyricism.
For those following the evolution of the Atlanta underground, this release matters because it highlights Sk8star’s transition from a promising prospect to a consistent force. By maintaining a steady output of music while simultaneously proving his mettle as a live performer, he is effectively building a blueprint for the modern independent creator. The track is a direct reflection of the lifestyle he has been living, offering listeners a glimpse into the high-stakes, high-reward reality of his current trajectory.
