Despite strong family ties to Alabama, Tennessee basketball transfer Cade Phillips is headed to Texas A&M.
The 6-foot-9 Phillips, who grew up in Rainbow City, is the son of former Crimson Tide quarterback John David Phillips and ex-Crimson Tide women’s basketball player Reagan Croyle Phillips. His uncle is former Alabama quarterback Brodie Croyle, while his grandfather is ex-Tide defensive end John Croyle.
