South Alabama signed a basketball player out of the international ranks on Sunday.
Diego Roman, a 6-foot-6 forward, is headed to the Jaguars after playing in his native Switzerland. He averaged 10.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game while playing for Starwings Basket Regio Basel in the Swiss Basketball League this past season and has also played for Switzerland’s Under-20 and Under-16 national teams.
