State Supreme Court rules on lawsuit by family who said coroner ‘dumped’ body at morgue

The Alabama Supreme Court on Friday ordered the dismissal of a lawsuit against Escambia County commissioners filed by a family over the handling of their loved one’s body in the county morgue.

The county commissioners claimed legal immunity in the case and also denied the allegations.
