Attorney General Steve Marshall has responded to “false allegations“ made in an advertisement regarding how his office handled the manslaughter conviction of a former Montgomery police officer in the fatal 2016 shooting of Gregory Gunn.
Former Alabama Supreme Court Justice Jay Mitchell released an advertisement in May featuring an endorsement from the former officer, Aaron Cody Smith, who condemned Marshall’s office and his chief counsel Katherine Robertson for not doing enough to help in his case.
