Strong storms possible Thursday in north Alabama

A Level 1 out of 5 risk for severe storms has been added to the forecast for extreme north Alabama on Thursday. The most likely time for any storms to affect the area will be between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

A threat for isolated severe storms has been added to the forecast for a small part of north Alabama as of Thursday afternoon.
