A suspect who escaped from deputies while receiving treatment at Huntsville Hospital is back in custody.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office said Jacob Andrew Bastiaans, 42, faces multiple charges in connection to the incident. Bastiaans was originally taken into custody Tuesday morning on Shields Road off Highway 72 after a chase with deputies but was able to escape around 2 p.m. while being treated at the hospital.
