UAB head coach Alex Mortensen apologized to the crowd in advance for the lack of tackling during Saturday’s Spring Showcase. Already dealing with their fair share of bumps and bruises, the Blazers decided to err on the side of caution as they wrapped up camp.
Still, fans in attendance at Legacy Pavilion were treated to a handful of big plays, as UAB scrimmaged for roughly 30 minutes. Players worked at a “thudding tempo,” wrapping up ball carriers without bringing them to the ground.
