The We Shall Someday Project is commemorating the 65th anniversary of the historic Freedom Rides through a week of events across Alabama.
We Shall Someday Project, an initiative fusing arts and history, is bringing cultural performances and events into cities along the 1961 Freedom Rides route from May 6-11. The statewide initiative includes events in Selma, Birmingham, Anniston and Montgomery honoring the Freedom Riders’ legacy and highlighting the importance of civic engagement.
