Compton became the backdrop for a meaningful hometown moment as Grammy-nominated rapper The Game partnered with neighborhood footwear retailer WSS to host a community giveback centered on mentorship, culture, and youth empowerment. Rather than a traditional celebrity appearance, the event focused on direct investment into local students, blending music, streetwear, and education into one unified experience.
