Thunderstorms with pea-sized hail in Sumter and Marengo counties Wednesday – wind gusts up to 40 mph

The National Weather Service issued a weather alert at 1:44 p.m. on Wednesday for strong thunderstorms until 2:30 p.m. for Sumter and Marengo counties.

Wind gusts of up to 40 mph and pea-sized hail (0.25 inches) are probable.
