Thunderstorms with penny-sized hail and damaging winds in Sumter County Friday – winds gusting up to 60 mph

On Friday at 8:27 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 9:15 p.m. for Sumter County.

The storms could bring penny-sized hail (0.75 inches) and wind gusts of up to 60 mph.
