Thunderstorms with quarter-sized hail and damaging winds in Central Alabama Wednesday – winds gusting up to 60 mph

At 2:28 p.m. on Wednesday, the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 3:30 p.m. for Dallas, Hale and Perry counties.

The storms could bring wind gusts of up to 60 mph and quarter-sized hail (1 inch).
