On Thursday at 9:06 a.m. a tornado warning was released by the National Weather Service in effect until 9:30 a.m. for Mobile County.
“At 9:05 a.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 5 miles northeast of Grand Bay, moving east at 45 mph,” according to the weather service. “Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.”
