On Wednesday at 2:39 p.m. a tornado watch was released by the National Weather Service in effect until 11 p.m. for Autauga, Bibb, Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Chilton, Clay, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Etowah, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Lamar, Lowndes, Marengo, Marion, Montgomery, Perry, Pickens, St. Clair, Shelby, Sumter, Talladega, Tallapoosa, Tuscaloosa, Walker and Winston counties.
