Troy completed its two-game sweep of Sunshine State baseball powers in the NCAA Gainesville (Fla.) Regional on Sunday, pummeling top-seeded Florida 16-9 to force a winner-take-all game on Monday.
After eliminating No. 2 seed Miami with a 9-6 victory earlier Sunday, the Trojans (35-30) exploded for 17 hits and five home runs against the host Gators (40-20) at Condron Family Ballpark. The two teams will meet again Monday (time TBD) with a spot in an NCAA Super Regional on the line.
