The historic marker for Michael Donald as seen along Michael Donald Avenue in Midtown Mobile, Ala. The marker was unveiled in 2006 to commemorate the 19-year-old Black man who was lynched by members of the Ku Klux Klan in 1981. It was the last lynching to have occurred in Alabama.

Eric Finley’s tours of Black historical sites in Mobile include a stop at the marker for Michael Donald, the 19‑year‑old whose 1981 killing is often described as one of the last lynchings in the United States.
