UAB receiver Kaleb Brown suffered a lower-body injury during Wednesday’s practice and is set to miss the remainder of spring camp, head coach Alex Mortensen confirmed to AL.com on Friday. While Mortensen did not disclose the specific injury Brown suffered, the redshirt senior receiver is expected to recover by preseason camp in August and should not miss any time for the coming season.
This marks the second consecutive year Brown has sustained a major injury during the spring. After transferring to UAB from Iowa last offseason, Brown broke his foot on the first day of spring camp. He recovered by the fall, starting three games over nine games while recording 17 receptions for 255 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
