UAB softball coach accused of widespread misconduct

A UAB spokesman told AL.com Wednesday the Blazers athletics department has and will continue to take “appropriate steps to investigate” explosive allegations leveled against softball coach Taylor Smartt, who has not been with the team in nearly two weeks.
