The real question isn’t who controls college curriculum, but what happens once control is centralized. At Auburn University, that question just became very real. Just weeks ago, I wrote an op-ed about debates over tenure, HB580, and the role of faculty. My plea was for the Auburn Board of Trustees to take a measured approach grounded in the realities of faculty work. That’s not what happened.
