Residents of the Huntsville metropolitan area may receive a knock on their doors during June and August. Households that have not yet responded to the 2026 Census Test will receive a visit from census takers and specially trained U.S. Postal Service workers.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, approximately 81,000 housing units in the Huntsville metropolitan area have yet to respond to the test. The Huntsville screening also includes Meridianville, Madison and Moores Mill.
