UAB’s Monday practice ended in a familiar fashion. Bursting off the line of scrimmage, edge rusher Chris Burge beat his defender and slipped into the backfield before getting home to the quarterback for a sack.
Fortunately for backup quarterback Nathan Rogers, his red no-contact jersey limited Burge to a simple tap. UAB’s opponents this fall won’t have the same luxury when going up against the 6-foot-3, 250-pound defender.
