A renowned college band director is coming to Birmingham to inspire young musicians

Whether they’re encouraging their team during Friday night football or hyping up a crowd at a parade, Birmingham’s high school marching bands bring the fun to community events.

Now, the community can show their support for the students during the annual High School Marching Band Camp Showcase. The event, hosted by Birmingham City Schools’ Arts Education Department, is free and open to the public and will take place on Thursday, July 9 at 1 p.m. at George Washington Carver High School.
