The Madison County Commission voted to purchase a $5 million property to move forward on the plan to build a new courthouse.
The commissioners voted to purchase the building at 308 Clinton Avenue, also known as the AT&T Building, to use as a temporary location while the current courthouse is demolished and rebuilt.
