Mobile mayor: 1 fired, 2 suspended over $14.7 million scam loss

Mobile Mayor Spiro Cheriogotis announced Monday that one city employee had been fired and two others were put on leave in conjunction with a $14.7 million scam loss, but said there was no evidence of an “inside job” crime.
