Recently cut NFL player could be headed to SEC football program, report says

Dae’Quan Wright could soon become the first former NFL player to play college football again.

Wright, who played tight end for two seasons each at Virginia Tech and Ole Miss, was waived Sunday by the NFL’s Cleveland Browns. If he clears waivers, ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting, he’ll enter the NCAA transfer portal and return to the college game at LSU.
