The NCAA has denied quarterback Brendan Sorsby’s request for eligibility for 2026, according to a report by ESPN’s Pete Thamel on Tuesday.
Sorsby was declared ineligible by Texas Tech after it was revealed he was under investigation by multiple sports for alleged gambling activities. After it was discovered he made thousands of bets via an online gambling app — including at least once on his own team while a freshman at Indiana in 2022, Sorsby voluntarily entered a gambling addiction treatment program and applied for reinstatement with the NCAA.
