East Alabama Health announced it has taken over operations at Bullock County Rural Emergency Hospital, located just southeast of Montgomery in Union Springs.
“Rural hospitals are essential lifelines for the communities they serve,” said Joseph Marchant, who leads rural health initiatives at East Alabama Health, the hospital system based in Opelika.
