Paraquat, a heavily regulated weed killer, is banned in more than 70 countries, but still legal in the United States. It's the subject of thousands of lawsuits claiming it’s linked to Parkinson’s. On Tuesday, Vermont became the first state in the U.S. to ban use of paraquat.

Vermont is the first state in the U.S. to ban paraquat, a pesticide that is banned in many other developed countries.
